Lite may be complimentary for a limited term. Paid plans buy remote convenience that a trial made feel “free.”

“Free Kia Connect” usually means Lite for a limited term, or a trial of a higher package on a new vehicle. It does not mean Ultimate forever.
Free layer
Lite-level features may continue after a paid trial. That is why the car still has some connectivity while remote start is gone.

Do not confuse a trial with a coupon
A trial is not a promo code. When it ends, you either pay, downgrade, or go without those features.
